There are houseplants that can be poisonous to your pet. This does not mean though that you need to get rid of all houseplants in your home. Here are a few examples of houseplants that are considered pet-friendly and non-toxic.
The first houseplant example is a money tree plant. Money tree plants require bright light. Another example that requires bright light and is considered non-toxic is a spider plant. Another pet-friendly plant is the ponytail palm. This plant also requires bright light and is very easy to take care of. Parlor palms are also considered pet-friendly and require bright indirect light. The last houseplant that is pet-friendly and non-toxic is the herb rosemary. You may not think of rosemary as a houseplant, but not only does it look and smell nice, you can use rosemary in many ways. The only problem with rosemary is that your pet may like to chew on this a little too much.
These are just a few examples of houseplants that are considered pet-friendly. Just keep in mind that even though a houseplant may be considered pet-friendly and non-toxic, it may still cause your pet to get sick if ingested. Also, if you are unsure if your houseplant is toxic or not to your pet, look up your plant on a reliable website to see if it’s toxic or not.
