If you are having a problem with ants coming into your home, here are a few steps to take to help you to get rid of those pesky indoor ants.

The first step is to try to figure out what is attracting the ants into your home. Ants can be attracted to dog or cat dishes, dirty dishes in your sink, or even a drip on a jar. If that is your case, first try to just clean the area to see if the ants move out on their own.

The next step you can take is by eliminating any scouting ants trails. Scouting ants leave behind pheromones so that other ants can find these trails. You can spay the areas where you found the ants with a mixture of three parts water to one part vinegar.

The last step is to try to repel the ants from returning to your home. You can do this by spraying the entry points to your home with a natural spray made up of lavender or peppermint oil and water. Or you can spray the entry points with a product that contains boric acid, just make sure to carefully read the label because some of these products are harmful to children and pets.

These are just a few steps you can take to help you to get rid of those indoor ants.
