Sometimes you can make a huge mess when you clean your ceiling fans. Here are a few suggestions to help you clean your ceiling fans without making a huge mess and to make the job go easier.
The first suggestion is to try to clean your ceiling fans twice a year. You add this to your list of spring and fall cleanups. This will help to reduce the amount of dust buildup and make cleaning them less of a mess.
Another suggestion is after your ceiling fan lightbulbs are cool completely, wipe them down with a dry microfiber cloth. Then, if your ceiling fan has them, detach the glass globes and wash them with soapy water.
The last suggestion is to lightly spray the inside of a pillowcase with either a solution of vinegar and water or with an all-purpose cleaner. Then place the pillowcase around the blade. As you pull the pillowcase towards you, wipe the blade. This will help trap the dust inside the pillowcase. Then, if needed, wipe the rest of the buildup with a microfiber cloth.
These few suggestions will help you to make the job easy of cleaning your ceiling fans and will make less of a mess.
