Many times when we are trying to organize our home, it seems that we end up with more clutter than when we started. Here are a few ways to help you to reduce the clutter.
The first way to reduce clutter is to organize your loose papers. Designate one area where you keep and sort all your mail. Also, if you don’t need physical copies of documents and receipts, try to digitize the documents and receipts instead. Just remember to shred any documents that contain your personal information.
The second way is to ask yourself if you use or really need an item. For example, when it comes to clothing, if you haven’t worn an item within a year, get rid of it or donate the item. Another example is if you have accumulated several small specialty appliances, only keep the ones that you actually use multiple times within the year.
The third way is to not keep your donation bags in the closet where they are forgotten about and tend to accumulate. Instead, keep your donation bag in plain view. Then when it’s full, immediately donate the items.
These are just three ways to help you to get organized and to reduce that clutter.
