The inside of your home probably has several interior doors. We might use them for privacy or for controlling the climate in the house, but they are an integral part of your home. What you might not think of is how finely balanced a well-installed door is. The weight of the door is swinging on those hinges without ever sagging or getting stuck… that is, if it is installed right.
Installing a door is no easy task. It starts with a square plumb door frame. If this isn’t done right, you’re going to have all kinds of problems further down the line. Your door needs to be well anchored into that door frame since there is considerable force put on the hinges when that weight is swinging. You should also make sure that all edges of the door are finished, since it could absorb moisture and swell, causing the door to no longer fit in the frame.
