One of the more irritating things in life is trying to wash off in a shower that has low pressure. You’re trying to clean up but with the low pressure, it feels like everything takes twice as long. There could be a few different reasons why this is happening, and you might need to do some trial and error before you figure out exactly what is going on.

One possibility is calcium buildup due to hard water. This could block waterflow. If you notice that your soap doesn’t lather well and that there is calcium buildup on your showerhead and faucets, you might want to invest in a softener system.

Another possible issue could be partially closed valves. This could have been done by accident by a curious child or someone bumping into the lever. Follow the water’s path back to your main water line and check for any spots where there might be a valve that needs to be opened fully.
